The Labour and Employment Ministry of India has started a new portal eshram for the unorganized sector worker through the portal government aims to track & collect information about the laborers and workers who are working in the unorganized sector. data collected through the websites will be used for framing new schemes, Policy, and initiatives for workers and Create more Job opportunities.

Benefits of E-Shram Card
Although there are many benefits of e-shram card scheme which will directly go to the workers of the unorganized sector. If an employee registers on the e-shram portal, he will get the benefit of accident insurance of Rs 2 lakh. In this, one-year premium will be given by the government. If a registered employee is a victim of an accident, he will be entitled to Rs 2 lakh in the event of his death or total disability. At the same time, one lakh rupees will be given under the insurance scheme for the partially disabled.

Keep these points in mind before applying for E-Shramik Card
Before registering on the e-shram portal, some things have to be kept in mind. The details of which are given below.
- The age of the worker should be above 16 and below 60 years.
- The worker does not pay income tax. This means that if the worker is a taxpayer then he is not entitled to register on the portal.
- Even if a worker is a member of EPFO and ESIC, he cannot register on the portal.

How to apply e-Shram Portal [E-Shramik Card] Online?
Step1:Open eShram Official website i.e https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/user/self
Step2: now Registration page will open on the Screen

Step3: Now enter your Aadhar card number and Fill Captcha Code
Step4: Now Click on Send OTP, Now an OTP will be sent to your mobile number registered with Aadhar card

Step5: Now a Application form will open,fill the details like:-Your personal particular as per Aadhaar 2.Personal information 3.Address 4.Education Qualification 5.Occupation and Skills 6.Bank Details 7.Preview/ Self Declaration

Step6: After filling the Form Click on Submit button,
Now your UAN e shram card has been issued you click on download button to download your UAN eShram Card.
